The U-bolt that attaches the brackets to the trailer frame support the weight of the boat more than anything so these do not have a stated weight capacity. When it comes to trailer taillights the terms waterproof and submersible are somewhat interchangeable. If a taillight is considered submersible that means that the internal circuits are waterproof and would be protected for if you were to back the trailer into water like when launching a boat.
